Catalyst Now Türkiye Chapter in 2024

Catalyst Now Türkiye Chapter (CNow TR), founded in December 2023 under the Türkiye Social Entrepreneurship Network and coordinated by IstasyonTEDÜ, continues its work as part of the global Catalyst 2030 network of over 8000 social innovation actors. This connection enables local insights to feed into broader discussions linked to the SDGs.

Following the launch, a Strategy and Governance Meeting in January formed three action groups, networking, support and advocacy, which have met regularly since early 2024. These groups created channels where experiences and needs could inform international conversations on social impact. An online orientation in February introduced new actors and integrated them into these groups, widening the chapter’s ability to reflect local realities within global collaboration.

Throughout 2024, general meetings focused on communication strategy, online presence, local engagement and links with the global network. Plans for in-person meetings in Ankara, İstanbul and İzmir, along with a roadmap for October 2024–August 2025, aimed to make local inputs more visible internationally.

The survey was conducted with all Catalyst Now Türkiye members and its results were presented at the third Catalyst Now Türkiye Chapter General Assembly took place on 2nd of July, 2024.

The first in-person gathering took place on 11 October, 2024 at Impact Hub Istanbul, bringing together members from İstanbul and Bursa to share activities, review survey results and explore collaboration. These exchanges help surface grounded knowledge that can contribute to SDG-oriented data and dialogue.

Membership remains open to TEDU community members and others interested in joining both the Türkiye Chapter and the global Catalyst Now network. As participation grows, so does the chapter’s contribution to collective efforts built on cross-country and cross-sector collaboration.
