Our application to the "Civil Society Research" project call opened within the scope of the "3005-Innovative Solutions in Social Sciences and Humanities Research Projects Funding Program" in cooperation with the Directorate General for Relations with Civil Society  and The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Türkiye (TÜBİTAK)  is funded. "An Innovative Model Proposal for Financial Sustainability of NGOs: Social Entrepreneurship" project, led by Dr. Sinem Güravşar Gökçe, the General Coordinator of İstasyonTEDÜ, aims to address the challenges faced by non-governmental organizations in Türkiye. The project aims to map social entrepreneur CSOs, conduct interviews with CSO representatives on financial sustainability and organize a focus group with social entrepreneurship support organizations on the developed model.

The "Entrepreneurship Suitability and Readiness Guide", which will be developed as an output of the project, provides CSOs with a tool to analyze their entrepreneurial capacity and allows them to assess the conditions they need before initiating entrepreneurial activities. In the application, which is designed with an interdisciplinary approach, İstasyonTEDÜ stakeholder engagement coordinator Elif Muratoğlu, projects coordinator Dr. Aslı Aygüneş, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Burze Yaşar from the Department of Business Administration and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ersan Ocak from the Department of Visual Communication Design will take part as researchers. The project is planned to start in May 2025 and continue for 18 months after the contract process is completed.
