The HIVE Project Mentorship Sessions Are Continuing

The first phase of the HIVE Project, funded under the EIT - European Institute of Innovation and Technology 'HEI Initiative' Program aiming to increase innovation and entrepreneurship capacities through the preparation of the Innovation Action Plans of the project partner universities, was completed in December 2022. In the first phase of the HIVE Project, implemented between July and December 2022, the 'Technology Transfer Roadmap' and 'Methodology for Measuring the Impact of Institutional Change' documents were produced for the project partner institutions.


The second phase of the HIVE Project, started in January 2023. This Project aims to increase the innovation and entrepreneurship capacities of partner universities through the preparation of Innovation Action Plans. With in the scope of the second phase of the project, a training program consisting of 6 modules covering the following topics was developed:

● Entrepreneurship and Innovation

● Turning an Idea into a Business

● Starting a Startup

● Entrepreneurship in Healthcare

● Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship

● Entrepreneurship in Information Technology Sector/Digital Mediums


As part of the project, mentorship sessions are conducted with two social enterprises: Soilbiom and Heliodor. Soilbiom aims to develop plant and soil-specific nutrient and protective products to protect natural resources, especially agricultural soils. Heliodor is an innovative platform that aims to support local producers. During these mentoring sessions, experts from İstasyonTEDU and TED University Entrepreneurship Office (TEDU-GO) provide consultancy services to entrepreneurs in areas where they need assistance.


The project is led by a team consisting of Dr. Sanem Yalçıntaş, Seda Damla Yücel, Sezen Çabuk, and Emel Adıgüzel from TED University Research, Innovation, and Project Directorate (ATİD); Dr. Sinem Güravşar Gökçe, Elif Muratoğlu, and Dr. Aslı Aygüneş from İstasyonTEDU; Dr. Şehram Dizeci from the Department of Mechanical Engineering; Dr. Burze Yaşar and Dr. Zafer Yılmaz from the Department of Business Administration.
